WIC Services
The federal Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program sets children and families on a path to lifetime health and wellness.
WIC provides healthy food, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to other helpful services to pregnant individuals, new moms, infants, and kids under 5.

WIC Eligibility
Services are free for eligible families. Applicants must be one of the following:
You will need to provide proof of household income, residency and identity. Click here for income eligibility. Families can automatically qualify if they received Medicaid, SNAP or TANF.
You need to be a resident of New York State. WIC doesn’t require citizenship.
To apply for WIC, make an appointment with us. Appointments can be over the phone or in person. WIC staff will help you understand the program and if you are eligible, you can have benefits right away! All information you share is confidential.
If you are eligible for WIC, you will receive:
An eWIC benefit card to purchase healthy foods suited to your needs.
A health and nutrition assessment for each qualifying member of your family.
Nutrition counseling focused on your needs and concerns.
Breastfeeding information and support for those interested.
Referrals to other programs and services.
Flexibility to schedule in-person or remote appointments.
Your First WIC Appointment
You will need to provide via text, email, or drop-off at our office:
Proof of identity for you and any child up to age 5 such as a birth certificate, driver’s license, school ID card, or healthcare provider record.
Proof of income such as paystubs, SNAP or TANF letters, Medicaid cards, or tax returns.
Proof of address such as a rent or mortgage document, utility or cell phone bill, paystub, or a letter from a shelter.
WIC offices accept these and many more documents as “proof.”

We want to make it convenient to get to your WIC appointment and hold WIC clinics throughout the Saratoga County each month. All appointments, including your initial certification, can be completed at any site. All appointments are being conducted over the phone during COVID.
