To do this, we help year-round immigrant families and seasonal workers overcome language or cultural barriers and social isolation.
Our bilingual staff offer translation and interpretation, along with assistance accessing health, legal, educational and financial services.

Estamos comprometidos a ayudar a los inmigrantes y sus familias a iniciar su vida en una nueva comunidad y cultura. Nuestro objetivo es promover familias saludables y prósperas con fuertes conexiones con la comunidad.
Para hacer esto, ayudamos a las familias inmigrantes y trabajadores temporales durante todo el año a superar las barreras lingüísticas o culturales y el aislamiento social.

Assistance accessing health services and insurance,
Assistance arranging transportation to appointments.
Interpreting medical appointments including dental, mental health, OBGYN, pre-natal, oncology and primary care.
EDUCATION
English as a New Language (ENL) classes.
Assistance registering children in school and interpreting parent-teacher conferences and special education committee meetings.
FINANCIAL
Assistance opening bank accounts and learning the US tax and banking systems.
Assistance preparing tax returns.
LEGAL
Assistance accessing quality immigration legal services through partnerships with the Legal Project and trusted private attorneys.

We Are Here
The Each year, the Latino Community Advocacy Program of the Immigrant Services Department holds a special photography workshop for Saratoga’s immigrant community. Each photographer selects work to contribute to the Estamos Aquí (We Are Here) black-and-white photography exhibit.
This exhibit now has hundreds of images that capture the everyday lives of Saratoga’s immigrants and is a powerful testament to the important role they play in Saratoga. The entire collection can be viewed online.
New work is unveiled during Visión: a look at life behind the scenes. This annual event serves a fundraiser to support LifeWorks’ immigrant services.
Estamos Aquí
Cada año, el Programa de Defensa de la Comunidad Latina del Departamento de Servicios para Inmigrantes lleva a cabo un taller de fotografía especial para la comunidad de inmigrantes de Saratoga. Cada fotógrafo selecciona un trabajo para contribuir a la exhibición de fotografía en blanco y negro Estamos Aquí.
Esta exhibición ahora tiene cientos de imágenes que capturan la vida cotidiana de los inmigrantes de Saratoga y es un poderoso testimonio de la importancia del papel que desempeñan en Saratoga. La colección completa se puede ver en línea.
